Garnet is the Birthstone for January.  Although known for being a deep red, it can also be found in shades of yellow, green, pink, white and gray. Garnet is a resistant stone that can stand up to everyday wear and tear.   Garnet is thought to enhance protection, courage and self confidence. 

Citrine is a type of quartz that resembles topaz quartz. Citrine is named from the French name for lemon,” citron," many citrines have a juicy lemon color.  It is very durable and is sometimes made by heating Amethyst from its characteristic purple-violet color to the yellow color of Citrine. Citrine can be anywhere from yellow to gold, to an orange-brown.  Citrine is thought to give protection from snake venom and evil thoughts.

Aquamarine is March’s Birthstone and is one of our most popular and best-known gemstones. It is almost as popular as ruby, sapphire and emerald.  Iron is the substance which gives aquamarine its transparent light blue to strong sea-blue color. Aquamarine is a member of the Beryl family of gemstones, which also includes emeralds and morganite.
